Golf & Mini Golf

Our area boasts many beautiful courses that cater to any experience level. Some of our courses in our area: * Killington Mountain Golf Course * Green Mountain Golf Course * Proctor Pittsford Golf Course * Rutland Country Club * Neshobe Country Club * Woodstock Country Club. We even have a miniature golf course, Mendon Mini Golf, just minutes from the inn. It features an 18-hole course, batting cage, and snack bar. And in Rutland there is Stonehedge Indoor Golf!

Canoeing, Kayaking, Tubing

Enjoy 360 degree views of the Green Mountains while paddling through crystal clear mountain waters. The Chittenden Dam, Kent Pond, Rescue Lake, and Woodard Reservoir are all within a 15 minute drive from the inn. For the more adventurous, you can arrange a day of thrills on Class I and Class II rapids on the Ottauquechee River Perhaps you’d like to spend a quiet day floating down a lazy river in an innertube. We have two companies nearby who can provide this leisurely adventure. Whether you’re looking for excitement or relaxation, we’ll help you set up the perfect water excursion.

Climbing

We’re close to both indoor and outdoor climbing options. The Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center is only ten minutes from the inn and offers an array of climbs for the most experienced to the novice. Test your prowess and endurance and have some fun with the whole family. Enjoy beautiful views of Central Vermont while testing your outdoor climbing skills, both guided and independent. Deer’s Leap is just one of the many great climbs located minutes from the inn.

Skiing, Boarding, Tubing

We’re centrally located between several different ski areas: right next to Killington and Pico, with Okemo, Stowe, Sugarbush and Bromley a short drive away. Killington Ski Resort is the largest ski area on the East Coast, offering 141 trails and 22 lift, extending across six interconnected mountain peaks of terrain. Pico Peak, also operated by Killington, is virtually across the road and offers a much smaller and more family-friendly approach. Ever ridden a tube down a snow-covered hill? Check it out the next time you’re on the mountain. Killington, because of its vast snow-making capabilities, is usually the first ski area on the East Coast to open in the winter and the last to close in early spring.

Spa Services

If you’re looking for rest and relaxation and a time to just unwind, we can assist you in scheduling spa treatments at nearby spas. If you give us enough advance notice and have reserved one of our larger guest rooms, you can even book an in-room massage with one of our talented area massage therapists.

Restaurants

There are a lot of great restaurants in the area both on the mountain and in Rutland. Whether you’re wanting pizza or sushi, Italian or Indian, steak or seafood, comfort food or traditional New England fare–or even your favorite fast food restaurant–our staff will be happy to suggest the perfect place for lunch or dinner that will fit your taste and wallet.
