How far are you from Killington?
The Vermont Inn is situated halfway between Rutland and Killington on Route 4. We’re 10 minutes in either direction to both locations. Also, we’re not more than a couple of minutes from Pico Ski Area, also owned by Killington.
What are the check-in and check-out hours?
Check-in is 3 PM to 10 PM and check-out is at 10 AM the next morning. Late check-in is available. Please call ahead to arrange for our late check-in procedure.
Does breakfast come with our room?
Yes, we have a complimentary standard continental breakfast for all our guests. If you have booked direct with us instead of an Online Travel Agency like Orbitz, a complimentary full country breakfast of hot items is also available. If you booked through an OTA, you can upgrade for a small additional fee. Our daily specials menu is posted at the entrance to the dining room and the current serving times are posted at the bottom of the stairway by the front lobby.
Are you pet friendly?
Yes, we have certain rooms that are dog friendly. Please contact the inn when making reservations to make sure you get one of these rooms. Also, there are certain size restrictions for your pet. There is a non-refundable $35 pet fee per stay.
Do you have any rooms on the first floor?
Yes, we have two, both adjacent to outside entrance-ways in the back of the inn: White Birches Suite and Fair Haven. All other rooms are accessed by way of stairs.
I've never stayed at a B&B or country inn before? I'm concerned about the amenities and standards. Aren't I just renting a room in someone's home?
The Vermont Inn has won several awards for our high standards of service and our amenities. Check out our TripAdvisor ratings and comments. Once you stay with us, you won’t want to visit a cookie-cutter hotel again. You’re not spending the night in someone’s home, though our innkeepers do live on-site and can be reached night or day. We’re proud members of The Association of Lodging Professionals, and unlike “home rentals”, we’re licensed and inspected regularly by the town and state, just like any other professional public accommodation.
What about COVID-19?
We’re following the strict guidelines of the State of Vermont concerning occupancy rates and cleaning and safety standards set by them and our industry associations. Our number one objective has always been to provide you with a safe and clean environment. Additional steps include our staff wearing masks and maintaining safe distances whenever they interact with our guests. Touch-point areas are cleaned and sanitized on a more frequent basis. Unfortunately, we’ve had to alter our breakfast service and eliminate the buffet-style continental breakfast as well as beverage self-service in the dining room and in the 24-hour beverage center. Afternoon tea has been altered as well. Our housekeeping has also been changed to “on request” to limit non-guest access to your guest room. Please call us if you have any questions or concerns.
